From the Sketchbook

This was a fun little sketch I did today for a spot illustration in Milton's Boots, the book I'm working on. What you see is the doorway to a cobbler shop in a fictional marketplace that embodies capitalism at its' best, with all of its' quirks and inconsistencies, crazy ideas, successes and risks.

The cobbler is busy working to produce a boot that will knock Milton's socks off, and he has to work all night to compete with the other excellent cobblers in town. Hmmm that sounds familiar...but I love it just the same!
